Challenging Islamophobia and Antisemitism on College Campuses
On college campuses, protests supporting both Palestinians and Israelis have surfaced, challenging administrators to uphold free speech while maintaining safety and community trust. Federal agencies have opened investigations into potential discrimination at several institutions.
This highlights the need for constructive dialogue, cultural literacy, and mutual understanding. Grassroots solutions—reducing stereotypes, building awareness of the “other,” and finding common ground—are essential to strengthening our democracy. Engaging all generations and communities in these efforts can help ensure that differences lead to conversation, not conflict.

American Jews and Muslims come together to discuss the responsibility of (inter)faith leaders in addressing the ongoing conflict in Israel-Palestine. Recognizing the trauma experienced by many, both historically and in the present, in light of the dehumanizing Anti-Muslim and Anti-Semitic rhetoric, we aim to create an open and inclusive space for discussing both faith and politics.
